Thats for sure. We had a poster, whose name escapes me, that showed some photos she had taken. She was very pretty, and got the nastiest comments about her looks from some people. She had a rough life, with heart problems, and lost her husband to cancer
I always wondered if the people that made those hateful remarks had a conscience

Ford, yesterday there were about three discussion lines on the ruling by the Supremes. One lasted for hours, two got very long,
There was also a long discussion on the funeral.
The finding of Richard Matt is still up.
How did you miss all that?
THANK YOU, Moderators for allowing the discussions to run their course!
I posted once on the funeral and the President's eulogy. I don't remember seeing the rest of them. Are they still there? I spend much, much less time on this BB than I did before. I just can't get into it for some reason. I don't know what's missing, I can't put my finger on it.
Hopefully it will get easier for me. I will keep trying. Maybe it's because there are so few nics that I recognize. Plus the mods are really omnipresent to a fault. I'll think of something, and then say "nah, that won't fly," and so I don't post at all.
I'll look for those other threads. Are they in Community Chat?

Yep. One of the ones I was referring to is called What a Beautiful Day. It was finally closed for commenting because a few kept trying to take it down.

Peeps, really. They don't want us to post about CURRENT EVENTS. That covers a lot, doesn't it?
It must be a qvc stepford wives site.

I guess I don't understand the drama. When a thread ends up with posts that bring politics, religion, or insults in it, that's where the mods step in. I've seen numerous ones where the people causing the problems act all innocent and start calling 'unfair' when it was not unfairness at all, rather it was that they were changing a thread from what it was to something that is against the standards.
I also cannot help but wonder why some of the folks (not talking about anybody here, as I haven't seen all the posts in this thread) come here constantly for the express purpose of complaining about how positively horrible this place is. If I'm somewhere that causes me such stress and disdain, I just go somewhere else.
The rules are not at all complicated here. It's really pretty basic and pretty much just what it was before, only they spelled it out better in the new CGs.
There are boards, by the millions, all over internet land for discussing pretty much ANY subject. Some are specific to, for example, politics. Some are general with lots of subjects represented. Choices are always good. ![]()

Was that Moomaw, cherry?
I remember comments about how her husband wasn't really sick. Then he died.

I agree, chickenbutt. Choices are always good. There are lots of forums without much moderation.
