Yesterday was a huge news day. NBC Nightly News had to be extended to an hour, there was just too much news to cover it all in a half hour. Yet we dared not post about any of it.
I've made a personal commitment not to post anything "personal" anymore. So here I am . . . stuck . . . once a prolific poster with absolutely nothing to say.

Well we did attempt a discussion but the claws came out, shrugs. Only one side here apparently is 'allowed'.

I thought the story about the Holland American tourists airplane crash was very sad. ![]()

I agree. All of the foreign news was either horrible or sad. I was never one to post about that kind of thing or participate much in them.
There was so much good news right here in the U.S. though, and, except for the prison escapees, nothing would have been acceptable.

LilacTree--------I know your "formally known as", so a happy Hi to you. I have never been one to start many threads, but always found a lot to say(too much for many). It is a shame that Headline News topics cannot be discussed/debated on this BB. Yesterday there was a very interesting thread about the 3 attacks in other countries. A Moderator even stepped in to say, "keep it nice", I am paraphrasing not quoting. I didn't see what I consider to be any "way out there" posts, but later returned to see that thread "poofed" and nary a reason given by that, or any, now visible Moderator. Maybe my post got it poofed, beats me! If the Moderators are going to be visible, I would like to know if my post was the reason for the "poof", there she goes. I don't care if they tell me right here on this Forum for all to see, would not be "offensive" to me. I would at least know I took something too far "out of their standards", which might enrich me about what I CAN say in some other news worthy discussions. I admit I lean to the Right, but that does not mean I am not willing to listen and/or learn from those with differing idiologies. I hope tjis post of mine does not go "past their acceptable standards", and if so? Moderators!!! PLEASE just remove my post, and I will thank you.

Ford, yesterday there were about three discussion lines on the ruling by the Supremes. One lasted for hours, two got very long,
There was also a long discussion on the funeral.
The finding of Richard Matt is still up.
How did you miss all that?
THANK YOU, Moderators for allowing the discussions to run their course!

Lilac/Ford - I didn't see you on our celebratroy Beautiful Day thread yesterday. It is still there but closed for commenting. There was also a disappointed bemoaning thread but alas and alak, I think it is gone, LOL! I'm still celebrating, btw. Changed my facebook to a rainbow coloring my face. And my cover is also a rainbow pic, a double rainbow in fact.

It's a good idea to keep discussions of a personal nature among real-life friends and family. Why provide fodder for negative judgments and hurt feelings on this BB?
