I Need Advice On Text Color For New Message

I have learned how to darken the font or get color on my posts but I can't seem to darken or bold my New Message or what used to be called Discussion. I have been looking at a lot of helps on here for days and can't get that title to a bold black font. Could someone help me?

Are you asking why your thread title doesn't appear as dark/bold in the list of topics after you post it? That's because only threads with unread (by you) replies will show as bold...

I wouldn't expect to be able to change the font size or color in the title of a thread, so that the board looks consistent as you go down the list of topics. But you could try using the html code for it. Look at the code that's generated when you use those options in the body of your post and recreate it in the title.

If you wish for your post to stand out, you could always do it in all caps (upper case). What could be so important that you have to make the title standout more than any one elses......?

@ShowMe, she might just be wanting it not to stand out *less* than everyone else's, if she sees all the other posts showing up as bold and is trying to likewise bold hers

I don't think you can change the color of the title color if that's what you're trying to do and I think it would be really annoying to look at a page of threads with all different colors for the titles.

Thanks, WenGirl42. That is it! Everyone else's is bold and mine looks so obviously different. I just wanted to blend in with the others. I can bold the color everywhere else but my Title or "New Message".

Just FYI, when anybody *else* looks at the board, your posts look the same as everyone else's

But if you really want them to be bold for you, on the forum page, in the bottom left-hand corner, you can click on "Mark all posts as new." Fair warning, though: If you're using the feature that takes you immediately to the first unread post in a topic when you click on it, doing this might make that not work anymore.

The HTML didn't work. I have tried everything and can't figure out why everyone else's comes out a darker black???? Thank you for the suggestion though. Much appreciated. I am trying hard to learn this stuff. It is frustrating at times.

it isn't bold for you because you have started the thread and read it. It is bold to others who haven't read it.

once a new message is posted on the thread, it will be bold again.

Oh, that makes sense!!! This is the first and only place I have ever had anything to do with a forum. When they change things....I am so lost.
