A nice gesture on your part. I don't understand why some folks can ruin any occasion. I would remain cautiously friendly and keep my distance from the neighbors who were rude; in other words be neutral and just move on.You never know with neighbors how quickly things can get out of control over a simple incident.

I checked with one of the long time "12" and she said around here everything is "Dutch." That was an excellent thought though. I agree with you on invitations, usually whoever asks, pays.

Another poster asked if there are functions here in this over 55 neighborhood and there is something every day if you want to go. New people's meet and greet every Friday, dances, singers, guitar players, magic shows, trips, guest speakers and tons of classes.

We are not able to take advantage of some but the better your health is the more fun you can have here.

I would highly recommend this lifestyle as it is so different from traditional neighborhoods from our past.

This is very old but I came back to read what was written to me about this problem person. The advice ia very good. Sometimes a non involved reader can make sense out ot our aggrvating problems. Thank you for taking the mtime to try!
