@Ms X Good for you and then of course, be careful. He may have been a certifiable nut job.
Don't know where everyone lives. I live here in Los Angeles and we have many large SUV's Hummers, and glamour autos. Of course then everyone thinks the roads belong soley to them and there isn't any yielding or courtesies applied. Not to menion the careless and wreckless drivers. It's overwhelming and the day doesn't go by without sirens from ambulances, fire trucks, and police sound off every half hour. Don't folks realize what they are doing to themselves and possibly innocent others?

We live north of Atlanta & I drive a Hummer. I am a very responsible driver and if anything we've had more small cars and trucks pull right in front of us- it's like we've got a sign on the bumper that says "Come on, we'll slow down." I must agree about all the careless and wreckless drivers, people don't care any longer, it's all about me me me me..
Sorry but all big SUV drivers aren't irresponsible.

You make a good point about being careful, Love Roses. He was in his Hummer with his wife, so I didn't feel in danger. Once when I was going to college in Boston it had taken me a long time to find a parking space while it was snowing, no less. I finally found one, signaled with my blinker to claim it and started to back in when some jerk in a small sports car wedged his car halfway in. I got out of my car and insisted that he give me my space. He was reluctant to, but since I wasn't leaving after a couple of minutes he did because I guess he didn't feel comfortable leaving his sweet little sports car there with vicious me and my jalopy.
My sense of victory turned to dread when it occurred to me that I was just outside the building where my class was being held and he could be the teacher! It was the first day of the semester. Luckily he wasn't the teacher.

When I see someone's head looking down toward's their lap when they are driving, and they are not paying attention to anything else around them, I usually think that they are looking at their phone and that they are probably texting while they are driving. They shouldn't be doing that, but then they do it anyway.
You can usually tell that they are distracted while they are driving, because they are usually swerving all over the place, too.

Not only are there cell phones, there are loads of people with an attitude of "entitlement". These people have an attitude of me first, I am the only one that matters and so on. A friend of ours who is a phychiatrist said that this probably comes from the fact that as children these adults never had to wait for anything. They didn't wear tight shoes until pay day because they had three pair of tennis shoes and were growing out of them every six months. Why care where you put your winter coat when you have three?
