Those threads don't bother me at all. Sometimes I read them and don't respond. its amusing what people get annoyed by. I guess if they're not talking about themselves, all other threads are boring to them.

Disagree with that. I find other things more interesting and worth learning about. Never too old to learn something new.

Well, how about this. I didn't know the celebs who passed away personally - just knew of them from their work. Now, if you have a dear one pass away, PLEASE DON'T POST so that others offer come condolences. Fair enough?

I like these threads. With cable tv (may or may not catch the news), satellite radio (only reports musicians' deaths generally), and a newspaper that may or may not print a celebrity's passing, I sometimes learn on here of the death of someone I liked. Also, the "RIP" comments and whatnot are simply kind words to say, to share sentiments with others at a sad time. Sometimes, people who like to fight on here are on the same page regarding a favorite actor or artist. I like that too. Had I not read it on the Q forum, I wouldn't have known that George Kennedy or Frank Sinatra, Jr. had died. There are 100's of threads on here that don't interest me, so I skip them. It's so easy; I'm surprised everyone's not doing it.
