@Jordan2 Are you sure it's the same mouse? As I said in my first post, there is hardly ever only one. Also, mice from the same "littler" can look very much alike.

As a veteran of these wars, have to break it to you gently: There are MORE than one.
I gave my key to the exterminator so they could get under the house and I checked back every day. The first day the receptionist say "Oh my word, DIDN'T they TELL you??" Then she just cracked up. TMI Upwards of 50 that day, then the count went down. And I had three indoor cats, the slackers.

I had a mouse in my house (for a month) and I used glue traps and that smart mouse steered clear of all of them. I went online and found ways to get rid of a mice. The one that worked for me was mixing chocolate cocoa power and decon blocks and in 2 days, I found it lying on the kitchen floor and dispose of it. If another one comes in, I will use the same solution. I do not have children or pets, so if you do please be careful using this mixture in spaces where either can get to it.
what do you mix? and how do you do it? i already iuse the bait blocks ..

Peppermint is supposed to keep them away;they don,t like the smell. Buy aromatherapy pure peppermint and soak cotton balls with it and spread them around the room where you see mice. Problem is you have to keep doing it every couple of says because it evaporates from the cotton and the stuff is expensive!
yes i tried this and got soooo tired of re-aplying it every couple of days.. so i use bait blocks and change them every month or so.. so far so good i havent seen any... last yr.. i killed 7, but i;m thinking there was a family of them... if i wasnt renting i'd definetely pay all the money for an exterminator every month or so... but i have to do it myself... my slum lord wont pay all that money... and dont even get me started on my landlord lol... hes such a nice guy, but definetely wont put all that money out for an exterminator...

Be sure and wear gloves while setting your traps otherwise the little buggers smell you on them and totally avoid. We use chocolate as bait. (It would sure work for me!)

I live out in the country and used to have trouble with mice but no more. I now have lots of cats that keep the mice away. If you hire an exterminator make sure it's one that goes the extra mile---looking for places of entry and sealing up any holes, etc. When I called an ext. years ago, all he did was place a few traps around my home and that was it. I mean, I can do that!

@KKJ @Jordan2 Yes, finding and sealing the entry is the most important part. I would never ever have found the teeny tiny entry hole. He found a lot of droppings inside my bathroom cabinet, and the hole was in there. I don't think anyone I know could have found the hole either. After sealing the hole and putting the poison down, I never saw another mouse. This was several years ago.
