On the news they stated that they are going by your 2018 Income Tax returns. I hope this helps. 😷🤗
They look at 2019 if filed. If not, then they look at 2018.

I didn't read all the answers, but there was a tax guy on the local news tonight explaining a little bit about the check. He siad that any excess should be paid back on next year's tax return. There should be a line item under credits which indicates how much you should've gotten and then you enter how much you got. Any excess would be paid back at that time.

I have heard two maximum AGI for couples. One was 199,000 the other 150,000

Why should you have to do anything. You did nothing wrong. Sometimes things are best left alone.

I haven't seen any money so far and wonder if I will. Everyone I know has gotten theirs.

This thread certainly gives insight to the true character of our fellow posters. Your concern for receiving an overpayment and if not recified your willingness to donate the funds shows your good character. Way to build good karma!
I was reading my neighborhood Nextdoor yesterday and I realize I am surrounded by so many generous people who because they don't need the money plan to donate to others not so fortunate. My favorite was a woman who has paid her hair stylist's chair rent for the month of April.

@shoekitty couples (married filing jointly) with AGI under $150,000 are eligible for the full amount of $2,400. For combined income higher than that, the payment begins getting reduced at a rate of $5 per $100 of income...which means that it gets reduced to zero for AGI of $198,000 or higher. $150,000 is the maximum to get the full benefit, and $198,000 is the maximum to get any benefit.
This is true for individuals as well, with a maximum of $75,000 to receive the full benefit and $99,000 to get any benefit.
