@LilacTree . Is your IPad a newer one? If so you can use your two fingers, spread them apart and the page will get bigger so you can read.

I have an IPad 3 but since it’s old that won’t work. But it will work on the newer ones.

I don’t know.  My girls got it for me.  I don’t think it’s new.

@LilacTree .  I have my husbands newer one here. Can you put both your hands on the screen any which way very lightly and spread your two hands apart and see if it works? Or both fists that will also work.

When I have to, I occasionally manipulate the screen with my pinky knuckles.

Three's not the default. Default is smaller.

I used to use a 4 when I was reading and posting on my smartphone.

Then one day using library computer I looked at how my posts appeared. Yikes! They were gigantic! It looked like I was saying, Hey, look at me!!

So I went down from a 4 to 3, and stayed there, because 2 is too small for me to read as is.

I moved from phone to tablet, still use 3.

yes, I can use the stylus, thank goodness it fits between my closed forefinger and thumb on my right hand.

it looks like you are using a size 4 font right now, which is what I use most of the time.  It is readable.

it’s small but readable.  It looks bigger here on my response.  It is smaller in your original post.  I am using a 4 now and it matches yours.

No, it's a 3, @LilacTree .

You may have your screen's zoom level set to make everything on your screen look bigger.
