By the way @Bridgegal , if you select a 'Font Family', instead of using default, the font sizes change again.

This is font size three.

This is also size three, but it looks bigger than the first one, doesn't it?

Depends on the device you're using. I noticed that when using different computers at the library.

Btw, every thing in this post is in font size 3, the only changes are in the Font Family.

@x Hedge

This is Terminal font, size 2.  Is it a nice readable size?  IF so, I'll just manually change it everytime.

I use Comic Sans MS and this is font size 3.

                                                  This is font size 2.

I believe the Font Family we choose alters the size as well.

@Bridgegal

I’ve noticed that using different devices and/or browsers also makes a difference.  Often when using my phone to post, my text is tiny.  If if try to enlarge the text size, sometimes it still stays tiny.  If I use my iPad, I automatically get the default size, and when I enlarge the text it does get bigger.

These forums don’t work well with various devices and browsers.  And often other people see posts differently than you might.

@geezerette

Thank you.  Someone else mentioned that too and I had no idea things worked that way.   I'm on a macbook air.

I'm not going to fuss anymore about it.   It seems what it looks like to me is different than what it looks like to others because of what you said re: devices.

Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions and help.

My font size always defaults to 3.  I don't bother with the other stuff.

I’ve been using a 4 sometimes a 5.  This is a 5.  I’ll go down to a 4 if I think it will be a longer post.  I never use a 3, which is the default.

I cannot imagine the techs they use to fiddle around with this website can’t  make a 4 the default for everyone.

Sometimes I have to use a magnifying glass to read the posts  I’m using an iPad now with a stylus because I can’t type anymore.  I hate it, but I have no choice.

@Bridgegal

No, it is not.  Use a 5 point with that font.

@LilacTree . Is your IPad a newer one? If so you can use your two fingers, spread them apart and the page will get bigger so you can read.

I have an IPad 3 but since it’s old that won’t work. But it will work on the newer ones.
