I HAVE to have my 8 HOURS of sleep every night or I am a bear or feel like I'm drunk the next morning. Last night my 15 year old dog had diarrhea and was throwing up all night. I was up changing her bedding and waiting for her to come back inside out of the rain. I swear this morning I felt like I had a hangover from lack of sleep, I can't even think straight. (Poor baby, she's still under the weather - I'm just giving her some broth and that's it today). How much sleep do you require?

I don't function well on less than 8.

I'm good with 7 hours. Too much more and I'm dragging the next day.

When I was working ,I was lucky to get 6 hours, now that I'm retired, I usually get 8 and I feel wonderful.

I sleep very little. I went to bed last night at about 8PM....woke up every hour on the hour Until 2AM and decided to just get up. That is pretty much typical for me. A restless interrupted sleep. Started after all the joint replacement surgeries I had over the past three years. Two hips and two knees.

I would love to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, but it never happens. I'm not a good sleeper and get 6 hours if I'm lucky. It really isn't enough for me as I am tired throughout the day and am conking out by 10:00 PM.

4-5 hours per night is all I need.
