Wow.
I’m sorry you’ve never experienced a wonderful company
to work for. It’s a lovely situation. 💛🌼
It's just the truth.
Any whiff of a problem and chances are the whistle blower gets hung out to dry.
I worked for two men that repeatedly poked fun of a woman that wore two hearing aids. One man was the head of the department and the other was his #2.
They kept on laughing that she "talked like a dolphin" and they did it in front of me at least once a day.
Went to Human Resources.
Suddenly, the atmosphere changed.
Luckily, I was able to quit because I got another job in different department immediately.
I will never, ever speak up again.

Fact is, in today's world, it is often the whistle-blower that gets punished for speaking out.
Sure, there are laws against retaliation, but the powers-that-be can make work life so miserable, that you end up quitting, or fire you for something small.
One can try to sue them then, but good luck with that, because the case will either end up going nowhere, for lack of evidence and proof, or be dragged out for years, costing you money that you don't have.
That's the reality of the situation.

Huh????? She didn't say that she worked or a bad company. I work for company with multiple campuses and 12,000 employees. It's the best, world famous and I am proud to say I work for this organization but....12,000 employees....so things happen. But, she's right. HR exists for the benefit of the employer, not the employees. Smart empployees know that and they choose wisely when/if they will go to HR and what they will share with HR.

There must be a Half Empty World out there.
Many of us have no idea where it’s located.
Remember....you reap what you sow...in work, life, relationships.
Must be exhausting to play the victim all the time.

Been there many times. Words of Wisdom: Feel sorry for them ... anyone that miserable has a miserable life. A good life lesson is to watch the movie, Soul Surfer ... see how Bethany handled her nemesis...a great life lesson. Best wishes to you!

A lot of good, decent, hard working people who blew the whistle on something that wasn't right at their work place have been dragged through the wringer for having spoken out.
That's not "playing the victim".
That's reality.

I was raised to believe rudeness equates with ignorance no matter where it is encountered.

So much depends upon the company. A smart HR department knows that if they dismiss employee complaints, it very will might come back to bite them in the butt
Of course it also depends on just what we're talking about here. We can blather on, but without knowing the transgressions, we really can't suggest remedies.
