Re: How do you report stuff?

When I see CNN or Fox News mentioned anywhere on this board, I start looking for my popcorn.

Re: How do you report stuff?

How/why do I keep missing all these threads? Seriously, I've never seen a one that had me going a-ha! But that's all I'm saying. I have no opinion on the veracity of claims either way, because I just don't see them -literally.

I don't know if it's because they're all poofed before I see them, or if it's because I stay away from "political/politically controversial" threads in general - mostly because since I know they will be poofed, it's not worth investing my time & attention, I guess. That, and I'm not a political (as in rampaging, crusading, pot-banging) person; I have my political beliefs but rarely share them with anyone, even in Real Life.

IMO, creating a topic that contains an OP, or comments subsequent that deal with national figures, institutions or policies "in the news" is a way to try and get around the political/controversial ban. It's a type of bait where the "others" can be "blamed" for taking a thread down that was started in defiance of the rules in the first place. It's less honest, IMO, than starting a thread titled "X sux!" At least that poster has the courage of their convictions ;-)

This is JMO generally - I do not know anything about this thread started to protest a poofed thread - which it clearly is, even to someone who knows nothing about the original.

I missed today's thread or threads but there's definitely a pattern, @Moonchilde.  A number of the previous threads have been in tv/movies.

The mods allow a person to use the report button as a chat button?  I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday, yep that's right.

Yes, you can send a message to the mods.   They can only  reply to you by email though.

I always seem to miss "these threads" too.  When I start reading the posts it gets to a point where I have to move on because I have no idea what everyone is talking about. Woman LOL

How odd. You didn't ignore it, you posted in this "ignorable" thread. So you cared enough to post, right?

There are only a few times in life where we have to be around people who we feel (for whatever reason) bother us.

This website isn't one of them.  Just ignore them....most of the time I'm able to do that...why not try that?

@Annabellethecat66 I couldn't agree more with you. To think that a half dozen or so are running the boards is just stunning news.

I agree. And I see no value in participating in a doomed thread (where no one really gives a hoot about my opinion anyway).

@SunValley  If I can find squirrel pictures to post that are at least tangentially relevant, then it's totally worth it to me.  Smiley Very Happy
