Re: How do you feel about leaf blowers?

I had to replace the windshield on my new car of 5 months due to a pebble flying into it and cracking it.

I was in the front room and heard the pop.  Flew out the door and the leaf blower guy heard it, too because he stopped in his tracks and looked over to the windshield.  Of course, he denied it saying it could have happened at another time.  I spoke to the supervisor and he said I could submit a claim, but would have to have it on camera.

Instead, I called the company that provides the diamond fusion in the warranty and did not have to pay for the replacement.

Lesson learned:  park the car in the garage.

I have an electric leaf blower with plenty of power and no fumes. It also has an attachment bag that can then be used to suck up the leaves from a pile. I love it. I wasted way too many years raking a trying to pick up the leaves. This is much easier.

[ Edited ]

I use mine everyday.  I blow my garage out everyday, due to a parrot in my garage,  who is a slob.   Between the feathers, and the seed, and the sand (in Florida)  I have to.  I also use it for leaves.  I have large messy trees and it is a blessing.  I always do mine in early afternoon.  I have a neighbor that was stalking me a few months back.  I make sure to blow my driveway down after he washes his wifes car.  LOL  The wind always seems to blow in that direction.

I noticed Rick was selling one that has an attachment that curves to clean out your gutters.  Has anyone used one ? and does it work good for gutter cleaning?   I may have to look into one.

Re: How do you feel about leaf blowers?

I like leaf blowers.  In my current house, I don't have a need for it for leaves.  I use it on the driveway and patio every time I finish mowing the lawn though.
