@JustJazzmom....my DH and I each have our own room, own bed, own pillow. No mix up. I share my bed with my cats. They sleep where they want to sleep. No initials needed.
PLEASE tell me you have seperate bathrooms too! The key to a happy, pappy marriage! ![]()

I also have an "ample" supply of batteries. Ok....ok.... more than ample. AA, AAA, C, D, 9 Volt and the little button batteries.
We went to Costco and Sam's the other day and the large packs of AA, C, D and 9 volt batteries made their way home with us to join their friends that are already packed away in a LARGE PLASTIC CONTAINER, organized by type- LOL. Because, if they're at Costco and Sam's, they have to be a good deal, right?
My husband always kids with me about my battery supply, especially as we head toward winter. I'm always preparing for a mammoth ice or snow storm. Which makes sense, except we live in the SOUTH.
We certainly have had our share of nasty winter events, but it's not the norm.
I could light the runways at Atlanta's airport using my flameless candles, regular candles, lantern and flashlight stash.
I'm always preparing for the Apocolypse.
Oh @gidgetgh it really is too bad that you and I don't live next door to each other as we could probably cut a lot of our costs in half knowing we could share . . . I have so many batteries it isn't even funny. I used to use a ton during the holiday season to light up wreaths/swags etc. but now am happy to just have the greenery hence my overage of leftover batteries. I could light up a nuclear power plant with the batteries I have in reserve . . . gah!
@momtochloe@ and @gidgetch never really thought of myself as a hoarder until this thread. Not only do i hoard TP and paper towels but also batteries like you two! I have a ton of batteries too. I have memberships at Costco and BJs (there are different things at each store that I like) and I probably have around 2 large Costco packs of batteries from the smallest to the largest in most sizes. I never really thought about it before but I hate running out of stuff like that or having just the bare minimum of daily essentials so I make sure I have an apocalyptic size backup and make sure I have ALL sizes. We have a drawer just dedicated to the batteries at my house here and the beach.
As to TP at the VERY least, I have an unopened bag of 36 and another bag of 36 being used. I used to get my TP from Costco (near my house) but I forgot to purchase on one shopping trip so I got them at BJs (near my work) and I liked the BJs one much better. Costco used to have 36 to a package but now it is only 30 and the BJs brand is much softer and a bigger roll. I can't deal with those cheapie brands that are so small you practically have to put a new roll up every time you step into the bathroom.
Then there are paper towels. I like to have 2 upopened packages of 12 and one that is being used. I think Paper towels are one thing I wish I could break the use of but I just cannot. Since I have an immune disorder it is important for me to be constantly wiping up counters/doors/knobs and I would probably use reusable wash cloths or something more green and less wasteful but I kept going through bouts of MRSA so I just use these now. I like one brand in particular and that is VIVA. They almost feel like they are made from cloth, not paper.
Gosh, reading this back it really occurs to me how I am very particular and rigid when it comes to that stuff. lol! I just like what I like though and have been that way regarding TP, paper towels and batteries for a while.
I know people who will buy a roll or two of TP (Scott) at a time or a 6 or 8 pack. That would drive me insane. I really dislike Scott too. It is like sandpaper. I would seriously have trouble sleeping with so few. lol! What a head case I am.
I am laying in bed with my husband and we are watching Narcos on Netflix (2nd season was released yesterday, woo hoo) and I just told him about this conversation and he laughed. He said I like knowing we are prepared though. Me too.

TP - stacked in the laundry room on a shelf up to the ceiling. That's not counting the 12 pack in the upstairs bathroom closet. Half of our coat closet is packed with paper towels. Two loaves of bread in the freezer. A drawer full of batteries but I never miss an opportunity to add to my stash...Luminara candles, flashlights and other gizmos eat them up. So basically we're good for at least a week before I start to panic!![]()
My biggest problem is milk. I'm down to a half-gallon, so first thing tomorrow morning, it's off the the store. Or maybe I could just buy a cow.![]()

Does anyone remember for a little while, tp came in colors? My mother always bought pink. Then the manufacturers figured out dyes weren't good for um...delicate areas.

You should see how I stockpile when winter's coming in Michigan.
Wow, that reminds me, I need some pigeon food. Better make note of that.
I also stockpile my bird food.
This is our average stockpile by about November each year. I hate going grocery shopping in the winter...LOL
During Spring through early Fall, we go through our stash and stock up again before the 1st snowfall.
Here are a couple of pics in our basement...
