That seems like a good idea!    I still have those old, plastic types - remember the big fat plastic hangers?   I have like a zillion of those and haven't had problems with having things stretched out like that.   They might be longer than some of the ones these days, which would make the difference.

I sprtiz them with water and let my body temperature iron them out

I don't mind using the iron, I just like the look it gives, but only iron when I am getting ready to wear!

I saved all those horrible shoulder pads from the 70s and 80s and use them when hanging blouses and tops.  I know you can buy shoulder pads separately but they can be expensive.   I've used old washcloths too.
