I have a sign in my kitchen

HOUSEWORK...Like stringing pearls without a knot in the string

What chore gets you down with its futitily?

Mine is washing the floor...stays clean for maybe a few minutes...then its a matter of how dirty can you live with..

Vacuuming. I have light color flooring and a big black dog that sheds constantly.

The minute she starts moving around I see her fur again.

#1 - ironing = All clothing items that come out the dryer wrinkled goes straight to the cleaners for a "press."  Have not ironed since 1972.  Received 2 irons & 3 ironing boards as wedding presents.  Gave them all away.

#2 - cleaning the bathroom

#3 - washing & drying dishes as well as pots & pans

I am lazy by nature.  After the children flew the coop, I discovered "housecleaners."

Washing dishes. I don't hate it, but it's ceaseless, even in a one-human household, because there's a constant flow of cat dishes and water bowls and tumblers. If I cook, gah, pots and pans and lids and utensils. Even laundry is more rewarding.

But conceptually, I love housework. It's just that reality fails me. Or vice versa.
