Taking it off the market for a while is sometimes a good move.
I am also shocked by the comments where Realtors just "show up". What?? If a Realtor doesn't make an appointment to show a prospective buyer a house, then there's no showing in my city. The Realtor's broker needs to know this.
I have no idea how long your house has been listed, but if the Realtor hasn't mentioned that the asking price is too high, then I would ask your Realtor if it is. I'm sure you've seen the comps in your area, correct?
Around here, a buyer has to be pre-APPROVED, not just pre-qualified, before any Realtor will show the buyer a property. It's a waste of time for all parties involved if the buyer won't get the loan.
Houses sell quickly where I live and in the spring there will probably be more buyers than inventory, but markets are different everywhere.
