Re: Heeeeeeeeeeere's Archie!

[ Edited ]

Why do people believe everything they read or hear on TV? I guess if you don´t care for the person, you would believe anything said about them.

I just don´t get it. If i was Meghan I would run away from the Markels too and Harry has a right to run away from his family. For years Harry said he wanted out, and he finally found a woman who helped him get away.  They are not the only ones who left family behind. Why do you think people move far away from their families and have no regrets?

You know what´s so strange? American are so preoccupied with the Royals. My parents were born in the Carribbean and i spend many years there. No one there cares about them and people in the Carribbean are considered British.

That little Archie is so cute.

@Sage04 , I was wondering if I was the only one who had reached that conclusion!

Face it, Harry was not exacty hip-deep in women who wanted to marry him.  I think he would have happily stayed in the military if that had worked out for him, but it didn't. I remember reading an interview in which he lamented the fact that finding a woman willing to embrace the life of being married to a high-ranking army officer was next to impossible - apparently it's a very tough gig.Maybe someone more familiar than I am with the British military can explain why.

It's hard being the spare, anyway - and how much fun, really, could it have been to be tagging along with William and Kate as a perennial third wheel? I, too, believe that he has wanted out for years, and finally found a woman with the resources and the willingness to help him.

I don't know, anymore than anyone else, how it will all play out.  Meanwhile, I wish them well.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeere's Archie!

I can't get over what a little cutie Archie is-- it's fun just to see his plump little cheeks.  To me he resembles parts of both families.  Looks like his Dad for sure, but call me crazy, but he looks to me a little like his maternal grandfather?  I haven't seen Meghan's father very much at all, but I think I can see a bit of him in Archie...

OMG On the People site there is a video from the Instagram account: Meghan reading the storybook to Archie who is turning the pages. Meghan often looks up from the book and straight into the camera.

I got the impression it was both a birthday release and a Meghan demo for more voiceover work! She's shameless promoting herself! 👎

Shoekitty said,   please give me a break  she doesn't have to do promo for anything.  If she has done voice overs, she has an agent.

Archie is cute. I also see Thomas Markle in him. I would hope his grandfather has had a chance to meet him. But with law suits and media court cases going on it doesn't seem to be the fresh start they had wanted.

@shoekitty she can grab a chance to promote herself and still have an agent. They aren't mutually exclusive. I watched the video again and she seemed to me to be more into making the video than promoting her son on his birthday. It seemed she wanted the focus on her, not him.
That was my impression and I realize others may have different ones.

This may have already been mentioned, but my understanding was this was not a first birthday photo per se but to raise awareness and funds for Save with Stories, which provides things for families in need during the pandemic.

I think Archie is adorable and it was good to see him after being absent from the public for so long. But is it me or is he awfully big for 1 year? I don’t remember my kids or grandkids being that big at 1. Is Harry very tall?

He's cute.

Not a big deal, but I wonder why she dressed him in a plain, white onesie instead of a cute onesie/outfit.
