When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

When they list the thousands of possible relatives the #1 match was actually my first cousin.

I was pleased to see someone I know as a cousin a great match.

Unless there’s a Court Order, no one is getting my DNA.

🙃

It’s just a matter of time before hackers tap into that market.

@Noel7  No.  No brothers and I haven't seen my father in over 25 years.

Watched Access Hollywood Live Show.  23 and Me has a special reduced price using a special code.  You might want to watch the show (last part, if I recall, but not sure).   Or go onto their website.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@sidsmom robs banks in her spare time, @Noel7.  😜

Slightly OT but I read this morning that as we age our fingerprints are no longer easily identifiable.  I may take up a life of crime.

Re: Has Anyone Had Surprise From A Genetic Report?

Kinda sorta. I've always had "you're Dutch" pounded in to my head from the time I was small. There's nothing wrong with that, but I began to suspect otherwise several years ago. The "Dutch" last names in my family could also be Flemish, German or Belgian.

I did the Ancestry test about a year ago. I'm not Dutch. The largest finding was Scandinavian, followed by pretty equal amounts of assorted western European (which could include Dutch, but also German, French and Belgian), British and Irish.

My sister had a snit fit when I showed her the results. She said "well maybe you're not Dutch, but I am". Ummmm, okay, but we had the same parents.
