HTML was changed...is it malicious in this forum?

[ Edited ]

Oh joy...each time I am sending a post to the forum I get the same message and it is in RED...scary.   The message says something to the effect that my html has been changed....and now it is fix or corrected.  This has happened several times.

Can someone tell me what is going on?    Should I worry or should I not send a post until I no longer get that scary message?

Re: URL was changed...is it malicious in this forum?

The URL is the internet address, for lack of a better description.

For example, the URL for this post is

http://community.qvc.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/35/message-id/652781

The only time that I've ever seen a warning is when I post a picture.  Because my default is Rich Text, the software here removes HTML and then I click post again.

No, it doesn't mean it's malicious. It's just being reformatted. No big deal.

birdmama,   Thanks.   But I was not doing anything with pictures.  I was just sending a post.

It said My html was changed and to check something and try to send again.  I resend again then it is sent.

Oh great..everything is OK.    Maybe someone that works in the forum is trying to send that cute tiny picture of the sparrow for my picture under my forum name.

Sparrow, as long as you have virus software on the device you are using when you post, you'll be okay.

I run my virus and system optimizers alot when I am logged in to the forums at home.

Did this just started happening to you?  Have you changed any settings or upgraded anything?

Do you want me to find a pic of a sparrow for you and post it in this thread?

It might make it easier to copy it as an avatar.

Let me know (PS I live with 2 sparrows, hand raised - my favorite bird on the planet)

It's an issue with embedded HTML.

They reformat it for us so it will work here.

Exactly right, @ChynnaBlue, and I wish they'd change the way they do that.  I responded to another poster yesterday who was cancelling her posts because of that warning in red letters...  the method they're using makes it appear the post is unacceptable and causes misunderstanding.

For anyone wondering about those warning messages:

The best thing to do is submit the post, then read it to see if anything was changed by the website software and edit or delete it if we choose to do so.

(One of the nice features of the new site is that we can actually delete our own posts now.)
