Re: HONEY BEES REMOVAL QUESTION

When my mother was alived she was sitting in my living room and ended up with a bee sting.  I am like how did this happen?  The bees got into the wall in my bedroom.  I could see dead & alive bees between the closed window and screen.  I contacted HOA and pest control came out and wiped them out.  This was over 10 years ago.    Cat Very Happy

Re: HONEY BEES REMOVAL QUESTION

Yellow pages might have bee keepers listed and contact your local Cooperative Extension as they might have similar info.

@Cats3000

"HONEY BEES ARE NOT PESTS."

Some of them are - Africanised honey bees, known as "killer bees"

Re: HONEY BEES REMOVAL QUESTION

Search online in your local area for a bee keeper who will collect the bees and relocate them.

Re: HONEY BEES REMOVAL QUESTION

Beekeeper!!  I called an exterminater, because I thought he might have a referral for someone to "relocate" the bees. He did!!  He removedThe  them, didnt charge me a dime.  He took honey, and the bees.  He was wonderful.  This hive was high on a pole in an abandoned bird house the previous owner installed.  This was as high as the telephone pole!  It was a duplex.  One side had a very active hive, the otherside had abandoned bird nest.  Birds and the bees😖

The bees didnt bother me a bit.  But i had several complaints about the bees.  People in back were allergic to bee stings, and the bees had stung the people next door.

Re: HONEY BEES REMOVAL QUESTION

I agree with others to get the beekeeper. They will handle it for you. Hope you remove the pheromones before you fix the damage as you don't want them back!

I just have to say THANK YOU to everyone for all your ideas and feedback.

We're having a beekeeper come in and relocate the little guys .....   they are a very precious resource and I don't want even one little bee life lost!
