Wishing all a safe & enjoyable holiday weekend. We are having a family reunion picnic tomorrow. Generations of our dear family members will be there. Had to skip last year in person but at least were able to do it via Zoom!

Just me and the 4 furry kids this weekend. Wife left early this morning to Pet Sit in a small city about 40 miles away. Will be gone till Wednesday.

Maybe this is fitting for my "Independence Day", along with the true reason we celebrate our country tomorrow! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I know anyone lucky enough to have your wife pet sitting for them is very thankful.

How wonderful that she does this!

When I had kitties, I always wanted someone to stay over, but it was VERY difficult to find. I had to settle for twice daily visits.

First, thank you for your comments. My wife loves animals, and after she retired, decided to see if people wanted this type of care for their pets. She first got certified in Pet CPR, then started putting some info out online for our general area.

Had some business cards made up and even our vet was happy to hand them out for those that asked about where to kennel their pets. From there it kinda took off. So many prefer keeping their furry ones in their own environment instead of a large kennel company. Word of mouth was probably the best source of adding to her business.

The virus of course had few people going out of town other than a few that had jobs that required them to travel.

When she first started we had 9 felines and our dog Lily. So I had a lot more of our furry ones to tend to when she was gone. I used to kid her: "you have 2 dogs, and I have 10"! We both love them so it works out well.
