How is it he can have a firearm? I thought he had a few dui's against him or had been arrested on another charge. Anyone I have heard of that has been in trouble with the law I thought could not have a firearm??? Just when you think you've heard it all.

According to TMZ, the gun has been listed for sale on another site. That site got in touch with Zimmerman through a mutual friend. Their position is that since it's a legal sale they have no objections.

He likes to hurt people and feel powerful, I suspect he has other weapons. Who knows, the gun for sale might not even be the one used when he murdered Trayvon, I wouldn't put it past him to keep the real gun for sentimental reasons.
Reminder: his father has clout in LE. I also suspect that saved Zimmerman in his assaults on women.

In true Sociopathic style.

I see him as a psychopath, devoid of conscience.
The scary thing is, the mental health community has come to the conclusion there are more of both sociopaths and psychopaths than ever imagined.

Sociopaths are also devoid of conscience.
Yes, I have read a lot about them (after having a personal run-in with one I wanted to know as much as possible) and a friend who is in the mental health biz has worked with them. She had a gig in a prison for awhile and said she had to get out of that job as it was taking a toll on her, that she didn't want the slime to rub off on her.

I'm glad you're back @QueenDanceALot ![]()
There are differences between the two. A psychopath doesn't have a conscience and is thought to be born that way. They are unable to care for other people. That's a major difference although some sociopaths can have similar issues.
There are a couple of articles that imo do a pretty good job of explaining the difference.

And:
To my knowledge, Zimmerman has been unable to form a caring relationship. He's known to have threatened women in his life, and I suspect he planned and went looking for someone just like Trayvon. That's why I see him as a psychopath.

This can be said of Sociopaths as well.
Many professionals in the mental health field don't distinguish much between the 2. Some say that the major difference is that psychopaths are born, an sociopaths are created (environment).
I don't mean to dismiss your links, Noel. But I've read a LOT about these people.
Some say that psychopaths tend to integrate into society better than sociopaths who some say are more openly volatile and tend to live on the fringes of society.
The distinctions aren't really all that important.
They do have lack of conscience in common. The also have in common a disregard for others, and a disregard for social mores. Both have a tendency to violence.
So call Zimmerman a Sociopath or a Psychopath. I don't know that it makes much of a difference.

Sociopaths can be charming people too, until you get to know them well.
