At the Dallas Cowboys football stadium (not sure of the name of stadium) in Arlington, Tx. My youngest son and three of his friends left Tucson after work yesterday at 5:00 pm and drove straight through to attend the concert.

Anybody going? I guess you'd already be there if you were attending. Love George!!

My son is sending me pics. Vince Gill is on stage with George right now. Love Vince Gill!

I would love to be there for this event. I'm sure it will a sad one and some tears will flow. George has always been such a wonderful performer always so appreciative of the fans who have supported him all these years. Hope everyone enjoys this concert, I bet Vince Gill will be singing and playing his heart out. Vince is really a soft hearted compassionate person.Wonder if they will do a tape of this ?

Vince is one of my favorites too. George Straight, the last of the cowboy hat guys. They all wear skinny pants, tennis shoes and muscle shirts now. Even an earring and tons of tatoos. The world, she is a changing.

Not only that but the true country singers come dressed for their concerts. Not with ripped and ragged jeans and tee shirts that look like they should have been in the waste basket years ago. It never fails to up set me when these people are performing that they don't dress for the occasion.

Hi cater - not to go off topic on my own thread, but about two weeks ago I left a message on the Show me thread for you. I apologized for having been rude to you in the past. I had hoped that you just had not seen it, but I thought it might be possible you did not want to accept my apology. Again, I really regret having been rude to you and I apologize.

Yes Cody, she is changing. My son is 24 and is into all the new country singers as well, but he has always loved George as he is his Dad's favorite. Two years ago I gave them tickets for Christmas for a George Strait concert in Phoenix. His first time seeing George, and today his second.

We DO still have Alan Jackson though. And he is a good one. I have seen him in concert twice. I wish I had seen George. How cool that your son has seen him twice. That guy is a classic and his music will live on just like George Jones and Hank Williams. The end of an era in country music. Classy guy.

Cater,it was posted May 23. I was hoping to run into you some where, so I'm glad I did tonight. Of course you never said anything to upset me. I had hoped that some who post on that thread might have pointed it out to you, but I guess it wasn't to be.
