While I'm happy for the couple expecting, I think these parties are beyond silly! My great niece had one and I opted not to go.

We attended one our Godson and wife had. Only close family were there. Small refreshments were provided. Of course no gifts as they were given at the baby shower. It was just a small get together of family with a firecracker that blew out blue smoke. Lol

I think gender reveal parties will run their course as couples will start go back to the "old fashioned" way of not knowing, as they will think that is the latest fad.
