Never heard of a gender reveal party.

What's next, a first fetus kick party?

@Mz iMac

I think these parties are put together by bored, boring women with waaaay too much time on their hands.  JMO

They're put together by narcissists who want to be the center of attention.

They're the ones having the get-together so why spend money on someone elses party?

Guess I live in a different world/neighbourhood.

I saw “gender reveal” and thought it was a transgender

While I'm happy for the couple expecting, I think these parties are beyond silly!  My great niece had one and I opted not to go.

We attended one our Godson and wife had. Only close family were there. Small refreshments were provided. Of course no gifts as they were given at the baby shower. It was just a small get together of family with a firecracker that blew out blue smoke. Lol

I think gender reveal parties will run their course as couples will start go back to the "old fashioned" way of not knowing, as they will think that is the latest fad.
