I think this is really getting out of hand 🙃

Gender reveal parties have been around here for awhile. I have also seen them on tv shows for quite awhile. I guess it probably depends if you have family or friends that are having babies.

What's next, a first fetus kick party?

LOL ...  for crying out loud, it's either a boy or a girl ....  no mystery there.   Send out a cute email and be done with it.

I think these parties are put together by bored, boring women with waaaay too much time on their hands.  JMO

I think they’re fun and would be thrilled to be invited to one

People are so clever how they announce the gender nowadays.  😊

Have not been invited to one of these yet...but I would take a gift basket of essentials like Dreft spray, cloth diapers, a roll of Viva paper towels, wipes, white or neutral onesies or gowns, then a gender-specific gift to the baby shower.

I think these are fun for the people who really are close to the couple and care.

I for one, unless it was an immediate family member, don't care (gift required or not) to spend my time at a party for this event.

I can simply be told at the office, in an email or the next time I'm talking with a family member (or on Facebook!).

I don't want to spend my time at a party just to reveal a baby's gender.

Again, if it were my own grandchild and the couple was into it, or a close niece or nephew, then I'd be ok to go and visit with family, but I'm over all the million and one showers/parties that now come with young couples starting out.

That sounds like a private party to me.

They might say the same about women who spend their time posting on shopping channel message boards.

It’s called ‘Prom’...

at least for a couple of gals I went to HS with.
