Gifts are not required at a gender reveal party. It's just to announce if the couple are having a boy or a girl.

Right ,wait for a shower to give a gift or after the baby is born.

It's a non gift event.

When we have been invited to a gender reveal party, I usually get an inexpensive pair of booties for each sex. Then when the sex is revealed you give them a little gift for that gender. Then either keep the other pair of booties for another time or return.

Even though gifts are not expected, if you decide to give something, a package of white onesies, baby wipes, diapers, or any bath items would be neutral and useful.
Enjoy the party!

Does anybody wait and be surprised any more?

Never heard of a gender reveal party.
What's next, a first fetus kick party?
