@Zhills   It's been a problem in the public eye for decades.  We've been aware for a very long time.

The problem is being worked on?  Really?

We've been hearing about this for years... fact is: the human animal is the most destructive animal on this planet.

Whether or not the issues and problems have been around for a long time doesn't mean a thing.  If nothing is being done than the problem/issue still exists.  Litter and garbage destroy our land and oceans and are unhealthy for all.

This shouldn't be a controversial subject.  I would think everyone wants clean air, water and our lands pristine.  Let's all try to work together and make this an issue we all can agree upon and not be fighting and arguing.  Our children and grandchildren deserve a better future and most importantly we all deserve to strive for good health.  Bad air, poisoned water and litter thrown in our oceans do not contribute to our health but are very detrimental.

I wish you all well and hope that together or on our own we can do our part .

Ok. Laugh!  None of you are aware of the laws being passed outlawing the use of plastics?  Really, now!

About six months ago we were taking day trips by car and the most obvious thing I saw along the highways was TRASH, just dumped.  It had spread into the trees, the roadway, just about anywhere and everywhere the wind would carry it.  Maryland, Virginia all the way down to South Carolina.  Discusting.  This was something that was criminal in my mind since I am sure there are many other places to put it.

@, unfortunately for our world, it is very controversial and will continue to be as long as there are corporations with tentacles everywhere who will fight to the death to protect their profits.

Zhills

I am very aware in my state they are trying to ban plastics and I am happy about that but until it is done, the issue continues.  We need action, not words.

However, it isn't only plastics which litter, it's so much more on the highways and land and in the oceans.  Plastics are one part of the filth and hopefully when plastics are banned,  they will start catching those who litter and fine them.  As I said I call my Representatives and continue to point this out and if necessary will contact the newspapers.

Banning plastics is a first step of many which need to be followed through with this issue.

Enjoy your day !

The onous belongs to all. A simple Google of what goes into our waterways from a single load of laundry is staggering. Yet how many women boast that they haven't ironed in 10 years and/or they don't even own an iron. I think I can safely surmise they aren't wearing natural fibers--i.e., cotton, linen, etc.

But I also get is is easier to point a finger at someone else.
