If customers are coming up for a COVID-19 test, they had to know what to do while getting in line.
When you are on an errand and not used to changes in procedure, she just might have missed it.
I'd also be willing to bet she received (at least a few) CVS emails informing her about the Covid testing.
@Tinkrbl44 Oh boy-that's one for the thread about the USPS not delivering mail. LOL

@Goldengate8361 wrote:@cozyseeker Do you have Walgreens in your city? In my city, Walgreens is MUCH better than CVS - all the way around. I'd definitely just switch to Walgreens....and not go back to CVS.
Over the years, I've tried aeveral chain pharmacies, none of which was particularly great.
Then I read that Walmart is the largest retailer worldwide and has the best bargaining power with manfacaturers AND pharmaceiutical companies, hence, the best discounts.
There are many countries where the name on the storfront is something else, but it's still Walmart.
I have a couple of friends that their prescription drug plan is through Walmart.....OMG all the problems they've experienced, they cant wait until open enrollment and they can change to a different company!
Interesting. Just curious ... are they on Medicare or is this a plan through an employer? I know for a fact that the Walmart/Humana plan works extremely well in California. I wonder if the insurance company (or state regulations) are partly to blame, since Walmart seems to have the prescription refill thing mastered.

I just came from the CVS drive through. If you read their instructions, they tell you to sanitize the outside of the container with a sanitizing wipe they give you before placing drawer. They are their watching to guide you. I think they have this covered.

It's a good thing that CVS provides the test and anyone who wants to can get a test. In your situation my only concern would have been having to wait in line for a half hour. So now you know when yo know when they do the tests and you can act accordingly.
I switched to the disposable masks and find them to be more comfortable as well as easier to be understood when talking, @chrystaltree.
As an aside and not related you your post, I think this thread has outlived its purpose, as everybody seems to be saying that same thing now to the OP.
What I don't understand is why do people start threads, which are conversations, and then vanish. Just to complain?
You can see that at least a few posters wanted to better understand this situation, and @cozyseeker couldn't even be bothered to reply.
Oi vey.

@ID2 @If there was a car behind her in the line at the window she would not have any way to get out of the line. At our CVS there is a lane for cars that is bordered by the store and pick up window on one side an a garden with trees and bedding plants with a concrete border on the other side. You can only drive through if you have no car in front of you and you can only back out if there is no car behind you.

Maybe OP just wanted to vent and wasn't interested in the replies.

They are always out of meds, or strengths. They take days to fill, and i learned the hard way you wont find out until you go to pick up if they have the drug. Their lines are murderous. They yak, take their their time an dare so disorganized it can take 45 mins to pick up a script. They are cheaper, but idon't care. I paid more to go to my small pharmacy for less stress and headaches, and the service, also they always were friendly and on time. They had a huge business, but they were just better organized.
CVS stores are dirty, and just not dependable. I dont know a person in town who likes them, but we dont have a lot of choice. When they were longs it was so nice, they were my favorite place to shop, and so handy, one thing bothers me a lot, they use the paper from one tree to giveyou all those coupons
Maybe you should get set up online with CVS's pharmacy. I have been very pleased. I can request a refill or have some drugs automatically refilled. I get texts from CVS when they are ready.
The people at our CVS pharmacy work like dogs. I feel bad for them. They need more staff. IMO, that is why the waits can be long inside. I try not to get too annoyed by the wait because I can see the staff is working very hard.
Edit: @shoekitty, I didn't see your other post when I wrote this. I see you do use the online service. Sorry you have had so many problems with your CVS.

Perhaps she isn't responding because some posters like you have been condescending and disrespectful of her.

True. My bank is like that. Two lanes but both bordered by high curbs. The only way out is going forward once you're in line if someone pulls in behind you. I was in line for nearly a half hour the other day and of course, they aren't serving people in the order in which they get in line, but alternating back and forth between the two lines, and some transactions clearly take longer than others. Then you get the woman in the monster SUV who gripes she has to get out of her car because it's so high up and gripes the person in the car ahead of her wasn't wearing gloves and she needs to use her hand sanitizer and then wants to stipulate some complicated combination of bills she expects in her cash back and oh brother... I really wish the tellers had the authority to tell some of these inconsiderate folks to pull out of line park and come into the bank. The drive-thru lanes should be for more simple, basic transactions...
