I still can't understand why the OP waited in that long line and didn't just go in for her prescription. Now she's worried about germs? She could have gone in, picked up her prescription and been back to her car without any aggrivation or worries. Wear a mask, wipe your hands when you get back to your vehicle....done.

@ID2 @If there was a car behind her in the line at the window she would not have any way to get out of the line. At our CVS there is a lane for cars that is bordered by the store and pick up window on one side an a garden with trees and bedding plants with a concrete border on the other side. You can only drive through if you have no car in front of you and you can only back out if there is no car behind you.

If that was the case, I would have long before sitting for an hour and a half gotten out of the car and asked the others to back up so I could get out.

Perhaps she isn't responding because some posters like you have been condescending and disrespectful of her.

Well, if she can't handle not everybody coddling her and saying, "Oh, poor baby! How you suffered so!" , then maybe this isn't the venue for her.

I'll tell you who isn't traveling without Wipes and Santizer - ME.

Do you do the same thing when you walk through a grocery store.  Just think about how many people have touched every single item, door, and payment kiosk when you shop.  I gave up on wiping everything down in March when you actually look around and think about this.  Not to mention there is NO proof that anyone is catching COVID from the touching of items.

???  Really?   There's NO clear proof for how many people actually contracted it.   Airborne, touching items in a store, touching the button in an elevator or at an ATM, hugging a family member  etc etc.  You can't be sure, so why not err on the side of caution?

@cozyseeker Do you have Walgreens in your city? In my city, Walgreens is MUCH better than CVS - all the way around. I'd definitely just switch to Walgreens....and not go back to CVS.

@Goldengate8361

Over the years, I've tried aeveral chain pharmacies, none of which was particularly great.

Then I read that Walmart is the largest retailer worldwide and has the best bargaining power with manfacaturers AND pharmaceiutical companies, hence, the best discounts.

There are many countries where the name on the storfront is something else, but it's still Walmart.

@Tinkrbl44

I have a couple of friends that their prescription drug plan is through Walmart.....OMG all the problems they've experienced, they cant wait until open enrollment and they can change to a different company!

@Spurt

Interesting.  Just curious ... are they on Medicare or is this a plan through an employer?    I know for a fact that the Walmart/Humana  plan works extremely well in California.  I wonder if  the insurance company (or state regulations) are partly to blame, since Walmart seems to have the prescription refill thing mastered.

@Tinkrbl44

One friend has insurance for her and her husband through their employer and a couple are also on Medicare.....  And its mostly human error and plain ole incompetency that causes their problems....

Where would you like her to go? Where is this mythical place on the internet where everbody coddles each other and is nice and decent and supportive all the time? I would pay a monthly fee for that. Being sweet and kind to each other and no nasties or scolds. Beats harshville everywhere you turn. It is okay to enjoy sweetness and love. We need a lot more of that online.

Which is why I leave plenty of room in front of me. The drive-through at my Walgreen's is clear on one side until you drive up to the pharmacy window. So if you leave enough room in FRONT of you, you can get out of line.
