It is more harmful to be a germaphobe and worry about all of these exposures to germs, than it is to just use common sense and embrace the germs around you. They strengthen your immune system.
Now if you really want to prove that germs don't bother you, use those super blaster hand dryers in public restrooms. They suck up every microbe from every flush, cough and sneeze and blast them all over your hands and you breathe them in because of the stirred up air. You will never see an air hand dryer in a hospital restroom. If you do, run.

Wow, for sure that's not true.
Are you familiar with auto immune disorders? You may get a cold but that same cold can easily put someone with Lupus in the hospital with pneumonia.

I cannot stand those loud hand dryers. I am finding them in so many more restrooms. Who in the world ever thought they would be a good idea.
I never thought about it, but you are right about never seeing a hand dryer in a hospital restroom. They always have a paper towel dispenser.
As you said, just use common sense and don't worry so much about every little germ. If we try to live in a germ free environment our immune systems will never get strong.
Obviously if our immune systems are compromised then we have to take more extreme measures to stay healthy.

A person with a serious auto immune system will never get it strong, but will die from many germs that you laugh at @J Town Girl

Unfortunately there are germs out there that our immune systems cannot cope with right now. These germs are much stronger than our defenses and this is what makes them a real threat.

That it is! For those without an immunity issue, I think many take it waaaay too far. Common sense is what many use to make it through many decades of happy and physically fit lives.

I'm not a germaphobe. I don't like dirty things or gross restrooms and I avoid them at all costs.
I must have a strong immune system because I don't get sick. I make sure to wash my hands frequently when I'm out and I don't touch my face

My sister is someone who avoids germs all the time - won't touch door handles, ketchup bottles, menus - she gets sick all the time
