“The quality and safety of our products are the top priority for our company,” Nestle said in a statement. “We apologize to our retail customers and consumers and sincerely regret any inconvenience created by this recall.”

The recall covers about 2.98 million individual boxes, including four varieties of DiGiorno pizzas, five types of Lean Cuisine meals, four Stouffer’s lasagnas and one Stouffer’s spinach souffle.

The recall covers:

  • DiGiorno Thin & Crispy Spinach and Garlic Pizza
  • DiGiorno Rising Crust Spinach and Mushroom Pizza
  • DiGiorno pizzeria Thin Crust Spinach and Mushroom Pizza
  • DiGiorno pizzeria Tuscan-style Chicken Pizza

Thanks for the information. I hadn't heard about this. I'll check my freezer. It looks like the common denominator is spinach.

Purina workers discovered that many of their 10-oz tubs "may not contain the recommended level of added vitamins and minerals." The voluntary recalls includes the following products:

  • Beneful Chopped Blends Wet Dog Food 10-oz. Tubs (all varieties)
  • Beneful Prepared Meals Wet God Food 10-oz. Tubs (all varieties)
  • Pro Plan Savory Meals Wet Dog Food  (Braised Chicken Entrée, Braised Pork Entrée, Braised Turkey Entrée, Grilled Salmon Entrée, and Braised Beef and Rice Entrée)

According to Purina's official Facebook page, the tubs in question have a "Best Before" date of June 2017 to August 2017. In addition, the first four digits of the production code range from 5363 to 6054.

If you own any of the recalled food, Purina advises you discard it and call for a refund: 1-800-877-7919 (US & Puerto Rico) or 1-800-345-5678 (Canada).

No other Purina products are part of the recall.
