Re: Facebook -Privacy settings

Go into your privacy setting and select who you want/don't want to see your stuff. It's pretty self explanatory. Otherwise, you can just lurk and never post anything.

Do not click "like" on someone's page that has their page exposed to the "public" unless you don't mind that everyone on your friends' list sees what you like as it comes over the news feed.

Don't leave comments on any page you've become a "fan" of unless you want your friends to see what you're saying on those pages. Remember, if you're using your full name then any comment you make on a public page is visible to the thousands/millions of fans of that page.

Keep your friends list hidden to protect their privacy.

Keep your private groups hidden from your friends and the public.

Don't add a cover to your facebook page unless you don't mind if that photo and all the comments made by your friends are viewed by the public. You cannot set your cover photo to private.

That's just a few tips.

You put ANYTHING on the internet, it's out of your control ... forever. You must know that, correct?

By the way, speaking of privacy, have you thoroughly read Facebook's TERMS OF USE? Talk about a scary agreement!

I will be the only one not on it. There is no privacy.

Re: Facebook -Privacy settings

My trainer was suspicious his GF was cheating.

He texted her at midnight...no response. So he sent her a message on FB. She responded and he was able to see she was in a different suburb than where she lived.

I was shocked! He said that if you don't change your settings, your replies will have the location where you are posting....hence he caught her at a guy's house.

Who the heck would ever want people to know such private info????

That's not exactly true. I post from various locations and it never shows where I am unless I use the "check in" feature.
