So I'm not that into Facebook there are a couple of groups that I am a member of. One is a Hungry Girl group, I don't post comments that often. Anyway I see a response from a guy I don't know stating he enjoys my comments. He said he has sent me a friend request but it hasn't gone through. He goes on to say I should send him a friend request, if I'm uncomfortable he understands! YES I'm uncomfortable I am ignoring his request, wouldn't you?

Oh my gosh, ignore that junk!!! I've never encountered that, but some of my FB friends have. I'd never trust anyone else but my friends on FB.

I would absolutely ignore! If you want you can look at his profile without friending him but if it was me, I wouldn't. I only friend people I already know or have met in "real" life along the way.

Absolutely do not reply to that type of post. Report the poster to your Facebook page's admin and block the person. These are scams, unscrupulous people who may try to get your personal info or ask for $$$. If you look at the persons profile you may find he is from another country and that the profile was recently created. Stay safe and don't respond.

@Jordan2 I get those frequently and simply ignore them. There's probably some security thing that will eliminate them but Facebook functions are a mystery to me. Most user unfriendly site that exists.

It’s a scammer on FB. Happens all the time. Ignore and block.
@bikerbabe I get it is most likely a scam, but what exactly do they hope to gain? That I'll get comfortable enough to give him personal information about myself? One would hope that people are savvy enough not to give out information.

Wise decision.

@Jordan2 I see and report this phishing scam all the time. It's a scheme to get your FB i.d. and any other personal info. Ignore it. Don't respond in any way.

@Jordan2 There are so many ways that these scammers use to try to get personal info. Sometimes you will see a post from someone that looks innocent stating something like "I am from Michigan, what state are you from". Or, find your "Elf" name where you use your birth month and day to get the compound name. (Now they have your state and birthday). Works best when people use their real name on Facebook. Or someone pretending to be a page admin will ask you to send an instant message to them to "check in" to verify that you are still a follower of that page. So many scams and scammers. We all need to be careful.
