My cat got very, very sick from those plug ins. So sick that I was taking her to the vet everyday for IV treatments, blood drawn a few times for 5 days and the vet had no idea why. She wouldn't eat/drink, had a fever and was just a lump. FINALLY..... my DD just happen to run across an article on the internet about this very subject. I took that thing out of the wall, opened up the windows and slider to air it all out and within 2 days of doing that, she was back to her normal self. I spent over 5 hundred $$ in those 5 days. So no more of any of that junk. Threw all the scented candles I had, away too, which was fine, I didn't do lighted candles anyway. Was a truly scary thing.

You would think that the products would have warning information concerning pets and humans.

When I enter a scented home, I suspect they're hiding uncleanness, just as overly perfumed people who failed to shower.

@occasionalrainI hope you won't be offended. But the first thought that popped in my mind when I read your post was......what kind of people is she hanging OUT with that don't bathe or clean their houses?SPOILE

It's truly awful when our fur baby is very sick and the Vet has no idea why.
I'm SO glad your cat is normal again. ![]()
I think Vets' offices should post signs about what in your home can be harmful to pets. Some house plants are poisonous!
I posted this because I had no idea, either.

@Tinkrbl44 we learned this years ago and since have used natural ways to change the air in our home. like another poster mentioned cinnamon sticks and we also have air purifiers in our mainly used rooms. thank you @Tinkrbl44 for starting this thread

At Easter, Lilies are everywhere, even on church alters. They're donated as a memorial to loved ones. Afterward, those who donated are given them to take home. No mention that they are poisonous to cats, not at church, not in stores.

At one time I managed five apartment buildings. From that work experience, I know all about scent meant to cover unpleasant odors.
