And humans are inhaling the same chemicals.

I wonder ... aren't we inhaling enough kwap in the air, already?  Is adding even more chemicals a good idea?

Re: FYI ... SCENT DEVICES CAN HURT ANIMALS

I hate those plug-in things - nevermind for my cats' health; for my own!

And I've never used scented cat litter.  I remember one of my vets saying "Scented litter is for the benefit of humans, not cats!"

Why would I want to pollute the air in my home with these things?  Open a window, if you can.  If you can't, get an air purifier.  (Probably a good idea anyway with pets in the home.)

The scented anything is bad for humans and pets. Last year I was burning a soy candle and I suddenly got all stuffed up and couldn't breathe, I thought I was catching a cold but it turned out to be the candle. I ended up throwing it away as I can't have scented anything in the house.

@Parischic.  I had the same experience with a Slatkin Candle I bought at CIJ 2 years ago.  I've never been sensitive to any scent but that was definitely toxic.

I'll never buy another of his candles.

They don't our human lungs any favors either.  DD has them in her bathrooms and I cringe.

Ive been reading the comments about candles and plugins. I've never bought any products from Harry Slatkin but ive always wanted to try them. I'm very sensitive to scents. I buy my candles and plugins ins from Bath and Body Works. I've learned to handle them very carefully. I only buy clear colored plug ins and plug them in at the front door well away from me and the dog. I've learned with the 4/wick candles I can only burn one wick at a time and for a very short period of time. Mostly after cooking to rid the apartment of the odor. I'm also aware of the research of the effect on pets so I try to be very careful.

I have an air purifier and simmer cinnamon sticks or herbs in water for unpleasant cooking odors.
