Re: Extra hour of sleep is lost on me

I am always the first one up in the house. The kids can sleep their life away. They won't even feel like they got an extra hour. Wish that I could sleep like they do!

@Goldengate8361 .....but light out when I go running or take the dogs for a walk. Pros and cons!

I was up at least an hour earlier, but, couldn't go out for my walk yet or go grocery shopping either! Way too dark and stores aren't open yet!

Re: Extra hour of sleep is lost on me

It’s lost on me as well. Part of it is probably self-inflicted though. We had a “End of Daylight Saving Time” party at sunset last night and I ate way too many delicious appetizers. Too much food keeps me awake every time.

Re: Extra hour of sleep is lost on me

Awake at 7:30 instead of 8:30, rough night, about 4 PM hubby and I shared a canned Starbucks drink that apparently was loaded with caffeine, and it affected us at midnight, making it a very long night

Re: Extra hour of sleep is lost on me

@gidgetgh- I totally understand! DH has depression and memory issues- he never really sleeps just naps. He is always walking around and talking and often has his days and nights mixed up. If I fall asleep- no matter what time it is- he tells me to get up and get dressed and provides  a warm wash cloth to wipe my face.🤓 Then this with the time change. Time for me to get up and get busy but I have no energy but will make myself get up. Will be ready to crash by 2:00 pm but struggle not to nap. SouthernBee

When you have depression, the getting dark early really hurts.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

@threecees  That’s what I remember when my kids were teenagers...had to kick them out of bed by 1PM on the weekends.

That’s why God gave naps to us older folks. 😜

i do like it being light at 6 a.m. rather than after 7.  better for kids/school.
