Evil is a catch all term that people like to attach to anything and everything they disapprove of. I wouldn't even begin to attempt a definition based on all those perspectives. As far as I am concerned the word has lost its meaning due to its various incarnations and applications. Suffice it to say there are people in the world who do very good things and there are those who do very bad, unspeakable things. I don't know why they do it. They just do. I imagine it's much more complicated than just tacking on the word evil to them.
I have known people that had mental illness that never hurt anyone but was unable to function in everyday life.
I think someone needs to read the "Bible" again.
I certainly agree Sister but I was surprised to learn when reading through various threads through the years how many people here don't even believe the Bible, much less read it.

Yes, there was evil from the beginning of time.
You didn't know that there are several major religions of the world and each has its own holy book? Why should they read the Bible? And how do you know, unless someone here told you, who does or doesn't read or believe in the Bible. Even Christians have varied interpretations of what they read in scripture. News flash: America does not have a State religion.
