Eggs are same price they have been for awhile. I like eggs and I use a lot when baking.

@Desertdi- what candy is that? Chocolate covered chocolate chip cookie dough? Yes please.

@Sakuya

Yes, that's what it is.  Fortunately, I don't know the name of the brand!

@LavernLuvsShoes @Those Kroger digital coupons are a big help, usually for items that we actually WANT to buy! 🙂

@Sooner @Wow. I am certainly not "obsessed" with eggs, but they do cross my mind now and then. Especially when Easter is coming and when I go to the grocery store. I am thankful for everything and make sure that I let my Lord & Savior know, every day. I was just curious. 🐔

Is anything being done to eradicate this bird flu that's supposedly responsible for this?  Other than killing the birds?

I thought initially it was about staying away from raw milk. Seems more prevalent then just that problem now.

   I hate the thought of all these many birds being continually eradicated.  Not kewl.

@JoyFilled Warrior.  Who knows?  Apparently we no longer have the CDC.

Several years ago we stopped using real eggs and switched to plastic with money inside

( from 25 cents up to one egg with $5). This an egg hunt my Grands love.

@Hopein24 Not specific to you and I hope you didn't take it that way.  But to me eggs are not the real problem.  That we may not have eggs at any price worries me, and the bird flu is concerning--but seems the worry is egg prices.  That's all.  Probably just me.

@Sooner, I hear you.

All I know is that today I went to a second grocery store this week that had no eggs on the shelf. None, zero, not even the liquid egg whites in a small carton. None to be had at any price.

( The prices would have been $7.69 at one store and $6.99 at the other for a dozen large if they had them in stock.)

I get organic, brown jumbo  eggs at traders. They are 4.99 each, not much different that before the shortage. They ar whither at Safeway and Nob hill here. We don't eat a lot of egg., I do buy cooked, peeled organic eggs for the crows.  They are 12.99 at Costco for 32 eggs. They are medium size. My crows have npbeen coming for years. One, sits on the walnut tree and stares and caws at in kitchen if I am not prompt. When I give him his egg, he always thsnks me
