My mom always filled our Easter baskets with a lot of chocolate; the large bunny, Russell Stover creme eggs, marshmallow eggs, mini chocolate eggs, peeps, and jelly beans. I chose not to follow that example. The Easter Bunny brought my girls a solid milk chocolate bunny, story books, coloring books and crayons, new pj's or nightgown, jewelry and hair accessories. Everyone in this house still receives a small chocolate bunny for Easter. I bought them in late February when Wal-Mart first started putting out their holiday candy. As a child, my grandmother used Easter as an opportunity to dress me up, and that is another thing I did not do to my girls.

One basket filled with Hershey Kisses and a candy dish with the malted speckled eggs that DH adores and I hate.
