I can count on one hand the times I have watched his show. But I liked him as a person, and trusted him as a cardiologist. I am looking forward once again to his reality hospital show on NBC which he produces, but rarely participates in. I think he swallowed the Kool Aid when it came to the TV show . . . it was what the producers wanted and it was making money. He has been made the fallguy.

I am disappointed in him, but I think he's a good doctor. Perhaps he should concentrate on the reality show and discontinue the "entertainment" show.

When Congress really goes after Big Pharma is when I will be convinced they are serious about all the toxic and rarely curative medicines they push on us legally on TV, hundreds of expensive and dangerous meds, every single day. That probably won't happen in my lifetime.

ITA with you, Ford.

which part do you agree with her on? You slammed me for saying he brings a lot of pseudo-professionals and in her statement she took it one step further and said he should discontinue "the entertainment show". And you agreed with her.

If you'd read my post earlier I did say that I thought Dr. Oz should have more in depth health shows rather than shows for entertainment. He does have people on his show sometimes who ARE legit, I don't think Ford said that he doesn't, just that he should focus on the former.

Your assertion seemed to be that everyone on his show is a bs artist and I disagreed.

What's the beef?

So this is what Congress waste time doing? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I guess because going after drug company's or the FDA for allowing what is really hurting everyone. The over processing of our food. The fact that Canola Oil, Soy Lecithin,Soybean and Corn Oil and High Fructose Corn Syrup are allowed in our food without any concern to the publics health. Don't even get started on the over processing of wheat.

That is what congress should be worried about not Dr. Oz.

Seriously what is wrong with this world?

Dr. Oz needed to hire some lobbyists...then they would have left him alone!

so true.

I'm not a fan of Dr. Oz but I think this was a dog and pony show put on so Congressional Reps could score points. Oz may give lousy advice but he's not the problem. Congress needs do address the abuses of big pharmaceutical and supplement companies, not a television host. He's an easy target and he's not the problem.

I 100% agree.....in fact I think congress has their own reasons for wanting to shut him up...Dr. Oz has been bringing attention to contaminated food and other things that FDA and big pharmas..monsanto..and others want kept quiet....they have a lot of money to lose each time Dr. Oz reveals something bad in their products...yes..the Dr. Oz effect much like the Oprah effect....I think it's ridiculous they are trying to make him accountable for all the scam artists out there using Dr. Oz's name to sell thier junk....how about they do their job and go after all these faksters selling products that are unsafe or don't have enough of the ingredients in them to make them worthy to buy....Dr. Oz is NOT the problem....the problem is our congress and representives are too busy cowtowing to the highest bidder instead of doing what's right for the citizen's of this country.

I don't watch his show, but I knew he was on my list when he pretty much said he was against flu shots for his wife and children.

Well, that is the first thing I have heard from him that I agree with I don't get the shot, and I have a compromised immune system, nor does my family. We have all been flu free for years. I rarely believe the hype about the need.

I agree about the flu shot. Haven't ever had one. Had the flu one time back in the 70's.
