@cherryWhat a wonderful woman, I grew up enjoying her movies and singing her songs.  Hollywood doesn't make gals like Doris anymore.

I adored her and her voice was so beautiful, talking or singing.  I will have to watch one of her movies I have at home tonight.

Also read this morning that Peggy Lipton from the Mod Squad passed this weekend too.  72 years seems so young in comparison to the life that Doris Day lead.

I've also responded on the earlier thread.  I always enjoyed her movies.  And appreciate her activism on behalf of animals.

She did a lot of work with animal charities and rescues. She owned a wonderful hotel in Carmel, the Cypress Inn that was geared to pets. It was a favorite.

I remember in high school my mother said she would repaint and redo my bedroom. I said I wanted a pale yellow room that I had seen in a Doris Day movie.
