I know that no one lives forever, and she certainly had a long life, but I am still saddened by her death.

So much of our past is gone now. It really is sad. I grew up, we all did, being entertained by people like Doris. I am proud to say ,that wholesome family viewing , held a standard of excellence for much of my life.

A beautiful, talented, classy lady! And an animal lover!

My daddy has always had a huge crush on her, and I grew up watching her movies and listening to her music. Thanks to YouTube, I can still listen whenever I want.

When I was quite young, I remember seeing her in person at Saks Fifth Avenue. (My mother was what you might call "aspirational." :-)

May she rest in peace. Great lady and talent, an inspiration.

Doris had a long life.  I enjoyed so many of her movies with her singing.  Those were the days before violence and light porn in movies.  Rest is Peace, Doris.
