I am not a non believer in vaccines or anything but I have never received a flu shot.

I didn't even take it during chemotherapy.   I do try to keep healthy with diet and vitamins but I do understand that this year may be different.  I will most likely be taking the Covid vaccine whenever it's available though.  Not sure how it will affect those who have both, as they are fighting two different things?!   JMO, but I don't like injecting too much into my system and I haven't had the flu in over 25 years.

I wonder how many would get vaccines if hospitals, knowing they refused them, wouldn't treat them.

One might then wonder how many hospitals would then be shut down for negligence and for failing to fulfill their mission...

Thank you @Katcat1 for your concern and advice. I get the shot every year. Though I'm not convinced it's particularly effective, I figure it's better than nothing. Throughout the years, I've known people who were vehemently opposed to them, others who simply feared the needle and so on and while I think their reasoning often falls flat, I figure it's their choice...

I would note there is a difference between posters responding on another thread to a statewide mandate that certain people MUST get a flu shot and what appears to be a kind suggestion from a fellow poster to do so... Apples and oranges...

Never had one and do not plan on starting.  But thanks for the concern.  Many friends and family members do one every year.

I am by no means foolish. I make informed decisions based upon my situation, as everyone should without ridicule from others.

I don't know you personally but I have seen your names over the years.  The Flu season will start shortly so PLEASE be careful.  The Covid 19 is still around (some doctors calling it the New Flu).  Get your regular Flu shot.   Make sure you wear a mask and also very important is social distancing.  I want to continue seeing your names.

Thanks for the heads up.  I fully intend to do all the above.  I would rather error on the side of caution than be the possible cause of another person getting this. Even if I end up being a little too cautious to some people....odds are...if they get it.... there's a good chance they didn't get it from me!!!!

Appreciate your concern for everyone here. Only 2 places I have entered since March are the hospital 5 times for my B-12 shots and checkups. Made 1 trip inside to see our Vet. That was to say goodbye to Molly, who we had euthanized.

We will get our flu shots from our Hematologist when it is time. That will be during the same visit as our monthly B-12 shot.

I have had no reason other than those to wear a mask, or anyone from which to social distance.

I have often read your posts and comments to other posts.  I admire and respect your common sense and positivity.  I wish I could own the positivity that it seems you have.  Continued good health to you.

I'm careful whether it's flu season or not.

@CrazyDaisy    It amazes me that you take this personally.  It is a figure of speech and not meant to call names.

@FiddleDeeDee   Seriously?  Don't be foolish is a figure of speech and not meant for calling names.
