I have given my magizines to a counseling center, an emergent care, and to my beauty salon.

Yes, Senior Centers love them! Some of the centers have Libraries, reading rooms, etc.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Do you save magazines or toss them after youn read them?

I receive a lot of magazines (probably 10 subscriptions). Unfortunately, I don't always have time to go through them all. I keep them for 2-3 months.

I pass along my Bon Appetit and home decor magazines to my neighbor. She loves reading them on her days off and trying new recipes.

My beauty and fashion magazines go to another friend or sometimes my cousin.

We take magazines and books down to our local Tavern,they have a shelf for free books.

They never sit long.

I throw most into a basket and save them for a rainy day. Then I pass them on.

The only magazines I read are Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone. DH has every Entertainment Weekly all the way back to the beginning. (All packed in carriers in a closet, don't remind me..lol) And the Rolling Stone we just cancelled but those we put out to recycle. (We must recycle here and we would anyway).

i have A LOT of magazine subscriptions now because they are so inexpensive. i save some of the nicer ones for decoration on coffee tables and etageres and rotate them. i take some in to work for customers to read and/or take. i take one or two with me to appointments and if i finish them then i leave them there. i pass some along to neighbors and friends. if there is anything left i recycle.

That's really considerate and makes discarding less painful. I stopped getting subscriptions when I realized that I didn't have time to actually read them. I'd look through them when they arrived and then set them aside but before I got back to them another would arrive. The exception is the New Yorker, I keep those.

toss for sure-there is no need to keep old magazines-too much worth keeping to take up space and create clutter with books and magazines, news papers etc...............

You consider books "clutter"? Newspapers, yes, and some magazines, but I can't imagine living in a house without books. {#emotions_dlg.sad}
