One of my daughters does this...trying to juggle three young kids, a legal career, and a DH who is frequently traveling makes it a must according to her,

Spending a lot of time creating planners gets in the way of actual doing, but some people really enjoy it. The whole planner business is a money maker and some women spend a lot of money on supplies kind of like when scrapbooking was all the rage. I’m just not patient enough for it but I’ve seen some really cool examples online

But curiosity can be a wonder teacher...especially in this case.

Someone not even remotely interested will just say,

“iT jUsT lOoKs lIkE yOu wRiTe sTuFf iN a bOoK.”
