No, I have no interest in dolls. Sorry.

No, nothing fancy or porcelain but I still have my cabbage patch dolls and a couple barbies. But they're packed away in a tote in my basement with some other childhood stuff.

Correction, one might have a porcelain face, not sure. My grandma sent it to when I was little.

No; I find dolls creepy.

The dolls that I collect scare the daylights out of people so I am used to hearing that.

Her eyes change color and direction and that freaks people out and I love when that happens!

That would really freak me out!!

I never collected dolls but I used to collect jointed teddy bears. Love them and use them in my home décor.

Yes, I did collect dolls for the enjoyment of it. Many are Marie's early ones, the big ones and also the tiny ones, all porcelain faces. Then I have a Bob Mackie set, gorgeous, plus many others, many Christmas Barbies, also just many "Pink box" Barbies.

I have two cases, one in living room.another in the hall that you can see from there.

Downstairs I have a very big case with the Mackies etc. I actually quit because one can get just too many. DD will get them when I'm gone.

Hi, Mama Mia, When I was in my doll collecting phase, I got a tiny Marie doll of a hippie with a peace sign around her neck. I think those MO dolls are very sweet and that one was very inexpensive.

Dolls will come back into fashion eventually. The pendulum swings back and forth.

ETA: And if they don't go back into fashion, I still have them to give to relatives. I have a huge family. My (very small) doll collection will go doll by doll, to nieces or my sister.

Burnsite, your sounds very cute, and I'm not familiar with this one. I used to buy several of the Christmas Barbies and would give an extra to a younger friend for her birthday.

I just don't need any more, LOL.Smile

Hi, Mama Mia, Yes, I agree--I have some put away now to give later or to display in a home if I ever move into a larger one. But the vintage dolls I bought helped me to cope with my parents' loss and were a small amount of money well invested.

The Marie doll I have is tiny, tiny (5 or 6 inches) in jeans and a white top, long black hair, peace medallion--a little hippie doll. Very, very cute. I sold a number of my dolls on Ebay a while back, but that one I did not want to part with yet. She makes very pretty dolls, Marie does.
