I do. I've had these gut feelings that give me cold sweats and the shakes. Last year, I had an interview scheduled and the day before I had this gut feeling that I shouldn't go. It was so intense. I cancelled and a few weeks later I got promoted in my current job.

No, not in the way you describe it, which sounds more like premonitions.

I do sometimes get into a spin of obsessive worrying about everything that could happen; if I listened to myself during those spells, I would never leave the house for fear of....something.

I do try to listen to my instincts about people, though.

I do more now than ever.

I was out of work and collecting unemployment. Things were tight but ok. Got an interview and felt, no,no this is all wrong. I got the offer but a friend talked, well, yelled at me to take it. I did and suffered. At one point I was afraid for my safety.

I dreaded marrying my ex. Ditto to the above.

I try to...most of the time I am right.

Never had feelings like you describe --just a 'feeling' that I should do or say something or that 'something' has happened and I need to act.

Yes. The one time I didn't, it almost killed me. Literally.

Yes.  If I didn't I wouldn't be alive.

Yes, go with your gut.  I know I have not a couple of times and my gut was right.  Good for you, hope you like your new position.   Cat Happy

I wouldn't describe using common sense as trusting my gut, but that's really all it is .IMO
