We buy very little fruit--too much sugar. But if we did get a bad one we would probably give to our forest critters.

Yesterday I threw out the cantaloupe today I threw out the honeydew I bought at the same time. That's it, I'm done with the melons!

some of the stores i go to spend tons on advertising their fresh produce and quality meats. meat is a gamble but i do not hesitate to return fruit if it is truly inedible.

this summer i returned cherries that made me sick. some of them were growing mold but it wasnt noticeable when i purchased them.  the same thing happened with bagged salads,

peaches are horrible!  i just had to throw away 8 peaches on sale. they were all woody and the pits were moldy.  i'm almost certain they pick them when they are still green and store them refrigerated in a warehouse for months.

Don't get me started on the bagged salads! I use to buy green beans in a bag. They were always  slimey   I stopped buying them because I was just wasting my money.
